Our Kvutzot

For many, the Kibbutz movement of Israel has failed. Few socialist kibbutzim
remain, with the majority privatizing all their assets. This movement is no
longer the Habonim dream and Bogrim are no longer making aliyah to Kibbutz.
A new model has been developed addressing many of the failings of the old
movement. Small "urban kibbutzim" are forming in cities around Israel, where
movement members live together, have modern jobs, and uphold the ideals of the
the movement.
This is true hagshama, of every pillar. Not only do kvutzah members share
their assets, but they are actively involved in the betterment of Israeli
society and have regular functions celebrating our Jewishness in meaningful
ways. Habonim Kvutzah members are actively involved in running the movement
in Israel.
For in depth discussion on this fundamental change, see this
booket.
